If the session remains open, it has to be approved by a moderator before the speaker could see it and receive an email about it.
If the session closes, the moderator would still need to approve all the questions before it is sent to the speakers.
If you do not want moderators to keep checking in for new questions, the solution is to remove the moderators once the session is over so all questions are emailed directly to the speakers and do not need to be approved by a moderator.
