The problem lies in different Word software having different algorithms to count words. For example, MS-Word in Windows would display a different count for the same piece of text compared to a similar Word software in Macintosh OS.
The solution to this problem is to set the word count limit in an excess of 10-20 words so students with higher word count in their texts could still be able to enter and save their information in the abstract submission form.
